Martin Glaum holds the Chair of International Management, Accounting and Auditing at Justus-Liebig-Uni­versität Giessen, Germany. Previously, he was Professor of International Management at the Europa-Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). He holds a Diploma in Business Administration and Economics from Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen (1987), an M.Phil. from Loughborough University of Technology (England, 1988) and a doctoral degree from Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen (1991).

Martin has been a Visiting Professor at DePaul University, Chicago (1998), the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (1999), St. Gallen University (Switzerland, 2003), the University of Glasgow (2007), the London School of Economics and Political Science (2008). Martin’s research interests are in the areas of international accounting and international financial management. He has published several books and numerous articles on these topics in German and international journals (e.g., Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Accounting Research, International Journal of Accounting, Accounting and Business Research, European Accounting Review).

Martin works closely together with the German Accounting Standards Committee where he is the Chairman of the Financial Instruments Working Party. From 2004 to 2010 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the German Association of Professors of Business Administration.
