Tony Kang is the Wilton T. Anderson Endowed Chair Professor of Accounting at Oklahoma State University. He holds an MBA from McGill University and a PhD in accounting from the University of Illinois. He has previously taught at the University of Illinois, McGill University, Singapore Management University and Florida Atlantic University. He has held short-term visiting positions at Sophia University in Tokyo, ITESM in Mexico, and the University of Sydney. His teaching interests are in financial accounting and he has a broad research interest in international capital markets and auditing issues.
Professor Kang is the incoming President of the International Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association (2011-2012), and has served the Section in various capacities, including the Treasurer (2010-2011) and an Annual Meeting Co-Chair (2008-2010). He also served as a Scientific Committee Co-Chair for 2010 IAAER World Congress in Singapore.
He has published a number of research articles in journals such
as The Accounting Review, Journal of International Business
Studies, Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance, Journal of
Accounting and Public Policy, and Journal of Business
Finance and Accounting, among others. He currently serves on
the editorial boards of Journal of International Business
Studies, Journal of International Accounting Research, Journal of
International Financial Management and Accounting, and
Journal of International Accounting Auditing and Taxation.
