Founded in 1984 with the mission to promote excellence in accounting education and research on a worldwide basis and to facilitate the contribution of accounting academics to the development and maintenance of high quality, globally recognized standards of accounting practice.

  • New Editorial Consultant to Accounting Education appointed

IAAER is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof Nadia Gulko, PFHEA, as IAAER Editorial Consultant to Accounting Education (Taylor & Francis), the official educational journal of the IAAER. 

Prof Gulko brings her extensive industry experience and research expertise to working with both organisations, seeking to enhance the educational base of accounting practice and facilitate impactful accounting education research.

CONFERENCES

 

  • The Centre for Corporate Governance in Africa is excited to announce the upcoming annual Corporate Governance Conference. This year’s theme, Navigating the Future Through Good Governance, shifts the conversation toward the good governance outcomes of ethical culture, performance, conformance, and legitimacy. The conference is hosted by IAAER university member, the University of Stellenbosch, December 7-10, 2025 in Stellenbosch, South Africa. The conference will include a panel on Informing International Standard Setting featuring the IAAER DREA, Donna Street and IAAER Council Members, Elmar Venter and Warren Mauron.   • The 17th International Accounting Conference, hosted in collaboration with academic institutional member, the Indian Accounting Association Research Foundation (IAARF) and the Eastern Institute For Integrated Learning In Management, Kolkata (EIILM), will take place January 10-11, 2026. For more information, click here. IAAER President, Katherine Schippper, will serve as the keynote speaker. Other speakers, representing IAAER, will include Mukesh Garg and Ajay Adhikari.

 

  • Save the Date! IAAER is excited to announce a conference hosted by IAAER university member, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, that will take place June 3-4, 2026 in Bucharest, Romania. The conference will be in collaboration with  IAAER. Preceding the conference, IAAER will host events for the ACCA / IAAER Scholars (1 June) and the ACCA / IAAER ECRDP (2 June).   • Save the Date! The next Meditari Accountancy Research conference will take place September 3-4, 2026 and will be hosted by IAAER university member, the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. The conference will be in collaboration with IAAER. IAAER President, Katherine Schipper, VP Research, Holger Daske, and DREA, Donna Street will serve as panel members.
